Best for
- Running several coding agents in parallel and seeing which are working, blocked, or idle
- Keeping agent sessions alive across closed clients or dropped SSH connections
- Managing agents on local and remote SSH machines from one window
- Letting agents spawn panes and coordinate with each other via a CLI and socket API
Install
curl -fsSL https://herdr.dev/install.sh | sh
Our take
A single Rust binary with tmux-style prefix keys plus mouse support; it owns agent terminals rather than wrapping the agents themselves. After a server or machine restart it restores layout and can resume supported agent sessions, but original processes do not survive. Also installable via brew, mise, or a PowerShell script on Windows, with an Apache-2.0 license and an active plugin marketplace.
